RC Alfa Residence, which is part of MFC Alfa Mall, which the development company DC Evolution implements together with consulting company UTG and UTG Residence, submitted to the competition STEEL FREEDOM 2019 as an object to develop the concept of the project. The competition, organized by the Ukrainian Center for Steel Construction, brings together students of architectural and construction specialties to create residential and commercial real estate projects in metal.
“This spring, we announced the construction of the largest multifunctional Alfa Mall complex in the Dnipro, which will include the 105,000 mall and RC Alfa Residence. We invite students to become part of this grand project and to come up with an original conceptual solution for the Alfa Residence housing complex, which will become a symbol of a new quality of life in the Dnipro. Competitions such as Steel Freedom are a great opportunity for students to showcase their talents and realize the most daring ideas. We fully support such initiatives as we are convinced that the collaboration of market participants, expert associations and creative students enables us to create vivid and memorable projects and take the market to a new level” said Roman Savchenko, CEO of UTG Residence.
During the 5 years of the competition 793 students from 16 educational establishments of Ukraine participated in it, who developed 310 projects. This year, UCSC signed agreements on cooperation with the construction universities of Ukraine, enlisting the support of management and teachers, who, acting as team curators, will consult participants at the project development stage. The competition project can be presented to students for protection as a coursework, supervisory or reporting work within the educational process.
“We are watching with interest the development of the steel construction market today. If the use of steel in commercial and industrial real estate projects is widespread, then the words “housing” and “steel” in one sentence will be infrequent. RC Alfa Residence can be an example of the first RC in Ukraine, implemented using a steel frame. In the progressive world, more than 50% of housing is made of steel, but because of established principles, there are no preconceptions of such projects at all. That is why we have submitted RC Alfa Residence to the Steel Freedom Contest, in which we, together with the organizers and contestants, intend to make a breakthrough in the minds of buyers and the professional community. We are sure that it is time to debunk the myth that building housing from steel is expensive and difficult” said Andriy Ryzhykov, CEO and managing partner of the developer company DC Evolution.
