Over the past decade, the world has changed dramatically. Ukraine does not lag behind this trend. And although many ideas remain on paper, those who dare to prevail, who are not afraid to take risks, implement the coolest projects that receive worldwide recognition.

Quoting already a classic of Ukrainian architecture, slowly, but we are still moving from a discomfort class to a comfort class. The consumer himself has become more demanding in his choice: he no longer needs a spacious, beautiful apartment with an ergonomic layout. An attractive facade, a representative lobby, a fast and silent elevator, a well-maintained territory and developed infrastructure – the buyer now wants to see all these attributes of a business class in comfort class facilities. Therefore, many developers invest heavily, capitalizing on the value of life in their projects.

The era of fakes and artificiality is becoming a thing of the past – people are returning to natural products: stone, glass, metal are in fashion. A person wants to be closer to nature, so the components of “eco-life” are no longer just a marketing chip, but a musthave. Nobody wants to live in plastic, among the unhealthy finishing materials – in response to such a request, more and more innovative, functional and technological products appear. Energy saving comes to the fore – fewer and fewer willing to pay for an expensive resource, while heating an already overheated atmosphere.

Houses and apartments are becoming really smart. In the race for the digitalization of living space, developers have joined. The era of the “Internet of things” is just beginning, but today you can buy apartments that are immediately equipped with smart home systems, digital concierge services and have everything you need in a separate application on your phone. And the Chinese giants and Ukrainian startups produce high-tech gadgets for a comfortable and safe life. And the houses themselves have now turned from a set of concrete, bricks, and disparate engineering systems into a single whole that “understands” what is happening inside and out. This allows you to greatly save resources and provide a high level of security for residents.

And of course, the important trend is “live where you work, work where you live.” The number of multifunctional complexes is growing rapidly. The necessity and usefulness of this trend deserves a separate article. But in short, a well-designed IFC greatly simplifies life and frees residents time for really important things.

Summing up, I want to note that we are only at the beginning of really interesting and large-scale changes in the world. And of course, these innovations will affect the human environment. Therefore, given the ever-increasing speed of the emergence of new technologies, architects and developers need to stop focusing on previous experience, and more strive to get ahead of consumer desires, which are formed by the digital world.
